Setting a New Standard for Backyard Greens and Turf

Professional Installation - Years of Experience Gets the Job Done Right

Installation will be scheduled after the design is approved.  Preparation begins with the removal of old sod and leveling the lot, then covering the ground with a fiberglass landscape  barrier. This  is essential for supporting the gravel, and keeping it from working into the soil over the years which causes unwanted sinks in your green. Next., ¼ minus gravel with fines are loaded on top of the landscape barrier 3” to 6” deep, then packed.  We then shape the gravel with undulations and variations to suit the customers putting requirements.  Standard putting cups are concreted into the desired locations, then the turf is installed  using commercial staples all along the greens edge to hold it down, even when a power mower is used to cut the adjacent lawn. The final step is to infill the greens fibers with infill material. Some poly greens can have the ball speed adjusted from 7 to 12 on the stemp meter by the amount of infill used. Some twisted nylon greens use infill to hold the green down but the speed is set at the factory at 10 on the stemp meter. Installation on most greens will require about two to three days depending on the size and lot preparation.
